Concept Plan
With the information gathered and recorded from the site analysis, a Concept Plan is created. The
concept plan blends your needs and desires discussed in the initial consultation with the site analysis
information.
In this conceptual phase, we blend desire and function with ideas and imagination to achieve design
solutions for your landscape. The concept plan defines the structural arrangement by
function for your landscape, it does not include planting plans at this time.
The concept plan is presented to you for discussion and revision. This is our opportunity to work
closely together making any changes or additions. The concept plan confirms that we are ready to go
forward with the master plan, the next step of the design process.
A flat fee is charged for the concept plan and a copy is provided for you. Not all landscapes require
a concept plan. If your landscape structure is already defined, we can skip this step.
Master Plan
The approved concept plan confirms we are in agreement to move ahead to the Master Plan, the next
phase in the design process. All the elements in the previous phases are artistically combined to
become a coherent whole design.
This is the phase when site-selected plants are creatively positioned and combined with the structure
of the landscape. We will incorporate the exisitng plants in your landscape creating a transition
between existing and new plantings. Plants will be combined in comforting layers with perennials and
groundcovers around shrubs and trees.
A flat fee is charged for the master plan, less the initial
consultation credit. The master plan includes detailed planting plans and an estimate for plant
material costs. A copy of the master plan and plant lists are provided for you.
