<< Home << Initial Consultation

Proposal
Following our initial consultation, a fee proposal for design services and a design services agreement is provided for you. The fee proposal is broken down in sections that we defined and prioritized at the initial consultation. We provide a sectional breakdown allowing you to consider designing the landscape in phases or all at once.

Site Analysis
Think of the site analysis as the current blueprint of your landscape. It is the foundation to work from. The site analysis is a complete site map indicating the shape and size of the site to scale. We inventory existing plants, trees and shrubs.

The site map records the location of existing structures and hardscape features. Key elements, such as soil, moisture, sun patterns, drainage, wind directions and site aesthetics determine site-specific possibilities. Soil samples are taken for testing at the UMASS soil laboratory. Testing soil is necessary to accurately select suitable plants and determine if organic soil amendments are needed.

A flat fee is charged for the site analysis determined by the size of the site. A copy of the site analysis is provided for you.
